My Birthday Fundraiser for 2020

To God be the glory. Great things He hath done.
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
and opened the lifegate that all may go in.
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory. Great things He hath done. ❤
– To God Be The Glory, hymn lyrics by Fanny Crosby

God, I am so excited FOR YOU! I do not mean that arrogantly or in a self-centered way. YOU know how I usually avoid my birthday, or at least making a big deal of it, and if I can get away with it not even mention it. I don’t mind so much after, but there’s just something so awkward about a birthday. It’s so uncomfortable. I am grateful for the life You give me, and for each day that I get to know Your love, and share Your love. That’s why I am also grateful that You give me family and friends who love to celebrate my day. Because of them, I get to say, “All the credit/glory goes to God for giving me another year of life. Each day is His blessing! My life is His testimony!”

Please forgive me for when I take my life for granted, and for when I carelessly and selfishly wish it over to be with You, or think of giving up. My life is not mine. It’s Yours. And I am very grateful. I am always amazed that I am still here with all of the health issues and scares, but it is just more evidence and a clear reminder that You are God and in control of my life. THANK YOU for taking control, for keeping control, and for allowing me the blessing to of those who want to celebrate my life too.

This year I gladly say it’s my birthday to honor YOU and the life You give me! And in celebrating the fact that my life is Your purpose, I prayerfully chose to do My Facebook Birthday Fundraiser for Sufficient Grace Outreach. Sufficient Grace Outreach Birthday Fundraiser Picture

Lord, You burden my heart for those who are trapped in Human Trafficking, prostitution, strip clubs, and many situations that we may not be aware of, but YOU are! Growing up in an environment where prostitution was actually glorified, forced, and erroneously taught to be a source of provision, I also know the violence, the degradation, and the hopelessness involved. The pretending you’re just fine and convincing yourself you chose the lifestyle while you hate yourself more and more each time. They need Your love. They need Your resources. They need Your help. They need You.
You use Amanda, Kris, and the many volunteers to send that help, to provide those resources, to share Your hope, and to share Your love with them. Thank You for what You do through her. I am grateful for her heart, and blessed to call her friend. Thank You for each time You allow me to take part in any way, however small! ❤ I pray for each one they have helped already, and for each one You will bring their way because You know they have such need. Help them to know You love them! ❤

So thank You again for my birthday, Lord!
51 years of life, love, provision, blessings, rescues, protections, hedges, health, friendships, family, church family, encouragement, blogging community…
and 43 of those years held in Your wonderful salvation as Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior! THANK YOU for Your Son and HIs love for me! THANK YOU for the gift of the Holy Spirit! And for YOU, my loving and sovereign Father! You three are…

the best birthday presents ever!

And presents are best shared! So let me make sure to tell everyone reading…

God loves you! He sent His only Son to die on the cross for me and you! (It’s a good thing. His son Jesus is alive and well. God waits to hug you when we get home!) ❤
Jesus Christ loves you so much He died for you! (It’s a good thing! He’s okay and alive and well. He has went home (to heaven) to prepare a place for you and me! That’s how much He loves you!
Holy Spirit loves you! He is the one who brings you comfort, peace, and understanding of God as you read the Bible, pray (talk one on one with God), and spend time listening to God. He prays for you because He knows we do not always know what is best to pray, and that sometimes we are too broken to pray. He brings that tender love. That is why God calls Him your Comforter. ❤

“For thou hast possessed my reins:
thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well.
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret,
and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect;
and in thy book all my members were written,
which in continuance were fashioned,
when as yet there was none of them.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God!
how great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand:
when I awake, I am still with thee.”
– Psalm 139:13-18 KJV

Great Things!

“Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.”
– Luke 8:39 KJV

To God Be The Glory

To God be the glory, great things He hath done,
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.

Chorus:
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice!
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He hath done.

Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see
– To God Be The Glory, hymn lyrics by Frances J. Crosby

My loving and wonderful God, You deserve to be given praise and glory every single hour of the day! Great things You have done for me! My Jesus hath done great things for me! And every single one of those acts of love, protection, mercy, salvation and becoming the parts of me that You have created me to be deserve to be published so that ALL may know they were done… and are possible for them too! Thank You for such loving encouragement where there should be conviction even now, and truthfully there is.
I fail to tell so much of Your great things in fear of what man may think, in fear of disgracing You, and sometimes in purely selfish reasons. Please forgive me.

Holy Spirit, help me to be more faithful in publishing for my Lord of the great things He hath done for me! Jesus paid such a price for my voice. Help me to lift it up… in ink… in type… in speaking… in shouting… in singing.

To God be the glory! ❤
Great things He hath done… for me! 🙂

Praising God for 400 Followers and over 10,000 views!

Okay, God. You know this blog is not about numbers and stats. It’s all about You. This is Your blog! You know I am nervous each time I see someone new is following me. It still makes me think of the word stalker. But You also know that in following Your lead to open my settings from private to public, and to communicate with others, trusting You with likes, comments, followers, and the many awards, tags, and challenges that You use to keep me actively communicating, that You have blessed me with the richest of community, friends, and new family in Christ! All over the world, I have the dearest of hearts as friends! People who mean so much to me! Yet with so much love pouring from You through them, I can still so easily forget others are reading what You and I talk about.

Poetry, blogging, awards, tags, challenges, struggles with fear, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, and so many other things You and I discuss, and then You completely take me by surprise with over thousands of views, and thousands of the most encouraging and uplifting comments (praise Your name for the ones that testify for You and glorify You!) from some of the most amazing souls You have blessed me with. And oh what wonders You do for my soul to make so many of them fellow lovers of Christ! How my heart just flows over with such love to read and share You in everything! ❤
How Your heart must smile! 🙂

So let me share with the world the numbers You have allowed this blog… as a praise to You! Thank you for Thought for Change becoming the 400th Follower! Bless her blog, Lord! And her life! It was so wonderful to read how she loves you most! ❤
My favorite part of the stats is actually on the Insights page, where it has Comments by Authors. It seems to keep track of the top 6 Authors (aka bloggers) who are commenting. I love seeing that change around! It reflects the many God filled conversations with Your dear children loving one another through cherishing everything about You!

Right now, the top 6 are:
1. Discovering Your Happiness (Lovely Anita, Lovely A, Miss Lovely)
2. Red Letters (Hayley)
3. The Word (Margaret)
4. Invisibly Me (Caz)
5. Not Easily Broken
6. Walking With The Way (Arnya)

Praise You for each one of them, and those who may have simply commented Congrats or nice, and only once. If they have given praise in any form… it’s all Yours! ❤

I finish by praising You with the wonderful hymn You taught me years ago:
To God Be the Glory, hymn lyrics by our dear Fanny Crosby

To God be the glory, great things He has done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
