Worthy of Unconditional Trust

gaillovesgodspoetry

You lift my weary hands
That they might praise Your name.
My self condemning tongue
Is Yours to tame.
The love, the care, the unending mercy
All glorify who You are.
Your long suffering grace
Is never too far.
The sacrifice of giving Your Son.
The plan to set us free.
The giving of His life on the cross
To allow ours to be.
The reconciliation wrought for us.
The restoration plan.
The salvation of a world
On the shoulders of one Man.
Worthy of praise
And unconditional trust.
I love You, Father!
I love You, Jesus!

Descriptive Action

gaillovesgodspoetry

Frayed mind. Short circuit.
Unsure of how to work it.
Calloused heart. Dried well.
There will be no crying spell.
Damaged weapons. False alarms.
Eventually disarmed.
Strategic boundaries. Fine lines.
Everyone hides behind.
Wayward sinner. Prodigal son.
In Bethlehem it was begun.
Tainted daughter. Alabaster box.
Anointing oil for His dear cause.
Rolling stone. Bright ascension.
Before God our names are mentioned.
Tender mercy. Sweet salvation.
We have received reconciliation.

Isaiah 61:10

“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
my soul shall be joyful in my God;
for he hath clothed me
with the garments of salvation,
he hath covered me
with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decketh himself
with ornaments,
and as a bride adorneth herself
with her jewels.”
– Isaiah 61:10 KJV

Good Tidings

“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring again Zion.
Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the Lord hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem. The Lord hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
– Isaiah 52:7-10 KJV

Lord, here You again are encouraging me to keep writing. Your children need good tidings. They need Your comfort. They need to know You reigneth. They need to know You know their hurt,  and that You care about each one. They long for Your peace. I long for Your peace. Peace can only be found in You. A peace that passes all understanding, even mine.  How blessed I am that I don’t have to understand.

Here You are, my Watchman, assuring me we will lift my voice together with Your children and sing! We need to break forth in joy. We want to break forth in joy. You are our joy. I love You, Lord! ❤

Dominion is His

gaillovesgodspoetry

Great and strong is the LORD
Mighty and powerful is He.
His enemies flee His wrath.
His prodigal children plea.
His strength displays His character.
His character conveys His demand.
His holiness validates
His authority to command.
His vengeance is His pleasure.
His pleasure is to forgive.
Condemnation is His to sentence.
Clemency is His to give.
Pardon is His escape.
Redemption His restoration.
Salvation is His to offer
Because of His resurrection.

Happy Birthday, Geneva!

Happy Birthday to our dearest Geneva! Lord God, she is so blessed to be with you! THAT is definitely a birthday present! ❤ Geneva is the biological mother of my brother-in-law and my adopted sister. She passed in 2007, just a couple of weeks after my aunt, my brother, and my pastor’s wife passed. She had diabetes, which led to a leg amputation, and quickly declined in her health. She had such a fun spirit. That is why I love this picture. He shows her playful personality!

Thanks for all the laughs, the hugs, the thoughtfulness, those 2 beautiful girls!, those 2 rowdy boys, and the advice on guys 😉 !, a sweet kindness, and a fierce fight. I remember the many birthdays you and mom got to share together. Even in times when you two didn’t along, you were still so alike! 🙂 I am most glad to have been present when you prayed for salvation when Pastor Bray came to visit! Now you have eternal life, a brand new leg, a brand new body, and ONLY love in your heart… because that is heaven! Say hey to mom for me, and give a hug to Jesus too! Keeping your family in prayer as often as the Lord allows! Me and God love you! See ya soon! ❤

Gifts 2017 #5 Mercy

Christmas Countdown: Mercy is such a GIFT: Only a loving God could create such a loving gift as mercy, and only His mercy could endure forever. Through His mercy we are given a chance to be better people, to be more thoughtful, more caring, and more grateful that we have not gotten exactly what we deserve. Thank you, Jesus, for the mercy you have given me in your loving salvation. I love you.  ❤

Salvaged and Rescued

Help! Help! My body hurts!
I’m living out that horrible curse!
What will take away the pain?
Only that precious blood gain.
Jesus is my only hope.
He is the only cure.
I am so filthy inside out.
I need Him because He’s pure.
His blood the only antidote
to the disease so inflicted.
He is the only pardon
to the guilty rightly convicted.
Praise! Praise!
He was willing to rescue!
He is just as willing
to salvage you!
