My New Journal With You, Note 9

**Verses are inserted exactly where God had them placed in my new journal at the bottom of each page. I love how personal He is! **

Good morning, Lord! How are You? I pray You are blessed, pleased, and saving as many souls. I know You love Your children. I know You care about them. You created us all for Your pleasure. 🙂

Lord, I’m sitting here waiting in the car as my brother has his surgery. We aren’t allowed to wait inside (understandably so), but we are allowed to use the bathroom if needed. I’m trying not to. Nathan has been so worried about this surgery, and then he has one next week. How stressful to have to worry about 2 surgeries, and so close to one another. Be with him, Lord. Help his mind to focus on one thing at a time, unless You deemed it good, helpful, or necessary.

I pray for his doctors and nurses, and everyone who will be taking care of him, or coming in contact with him. Keep everyone in there safe from this virus. Put a hedge of protection around them. May this day and this surgery (and the other one) be filled with You all over to the point You are all that everyone sees, praises, talks about,

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
– Philippians 4:6 KJV

prays about, and just feels Your Holy presence. Thank You that You can be with each one individually and be so personal, yet be with them as a community…. and even be with me and Sandy here in the car, as well as be with Bobby at the house, with Anthoni, and Tim and Cliff out at Nathan’s.

I thank You, too, for being with my WordPress family. Nitin has begun such a terrifying task in treating COVID-19 positive patients. He is stressed and scared (because he is human), yet he is serving. I am grateful to know he has a relationship with You. His faith is encouraging. Omo has some tragic events happening in her country. I pray no one in her family or friends were among the victims. God, only You can stop such evil. Please keep a hedge around Nitin and his colleagues, and around Omo and her family and friends.

I pray for my Lifegroup too, Lord! So many burdens, losses, heartaches, and of course COVID. I am even more grateful for my small Lifegroup Blooming. Thank You for putting me in a Covid sensitive group of ladies. They have such a heart for the medical community, as well as anyone who has to work, or makes

“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
– 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV

deliveries, or has Covid in their family. They have had family and friends with Covid too.

And then of course, there is their own health. They are doing as You teach us in Your word, taking care of the vessels You have given them. We are a small group, but mighty in faith. We have You! ❤

Well Sandy is awake, the sun is up, and we’ll be on the move before long.

I just want You to know I love You. I pray all my friends, family, church, Lifegroup, community, city, county, state, country, and world into You care. With the Holy Spirit and Jesus making intercessory prayer on our behalf… it is enough.

❤ I love You, Father!
❤ I love You, Jesus!
❤ I love You, Holy Spirit!

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
– Deuteronomy 31:6 KJV

PS… Lord, I LOVE how Your verses always address exactly what I am talking to You about, but from Your wisdom of what I need. You are so personal! ❤

Day 1 of 47 for Lent Plan

GOD, I HAVE BEEN ENJOYING THE BIBLE READING PLAN YOU HAVE BEEN WALKING ME THROUGH. I’M SORRY TO BE SO LATE GETTING THEM ON, BUT WITH YOUR HELP WE’LL GET THEM ON LITTLE BY LITTLE.
NO RUSH. JUST CONVALESCING WITH YOU, AND FOLLOWING YOUR LEAD IN SHARING WITH OTHERS.
YOUVERSION (A BIBLE APP YOU HAVE BLESSED ME WITH)
IS DOING A PLAN CALLED LENT: REMEMBERING THE LIFE OF JESUS.

Day 1 of 47 for Lent Plan – “What Is Lent?”
Reading: Luke 1:5-25, Luke 1:57-80, and John 3:28-30 KJV

Lord, I begin this journey of Lent with You, and for You. To better remember what You went through with us… for me. After careful prayer in one on one thoughtful conversations, I am giving up all meats except fish until Easter, along with all sodas except light colored caffeine free… like Sprite, Sierra Mist. Trying also to avoid the caffeine in the sodas. If I need a caffeine drink to stimulate my body, I will drink tea. All of this is between You and me.

Day 1: What is Lent?
A man made tradition beginning Ash Wednesday, and ends on Saturday before Easter. Typically giving up something as a “penance” for our sins. A time to worship and pray, and remember what Jesus did for us, and also ask God to search our hearts and reveal any sinful ways we struggle with.

Further Study

  • What happened to John’s father, Zechariah, when he questioned the angel?
    – He was made mute.
  • Besides being the one who prepared the way for Jesus, how else was John the Baptist connected/related to Him?
    – He was cousin to Jesus.
  • What was the first thing Zechariah did when he could speak again?
    – Zechariah praised God.

Reflect

  • Worship: Write down one attribute of God and worship Him for who He is. (You’ll do this every day, so keep a list going.
Detailed. God, You are very detailed, and because You are… we are blessed with Your record also known as the Bible.
  • Prayer: Make a list of the people in your life who don’t know Jesus and pray for their salvation. (Consider praying for these people every day of this plan).
    – Michelle M and her girls and boys, Aneeta G and her girls, Christine, B-boy, Megans, Erin, Amy, Danielle, Charles B, Haley, Lisa, Heather, Kristin, Rob
  • Remembrance: How often do you think about what Jesus did to save you? Meditate on what eternal life means to you.
    – Usually all the time. I had to admit that I have allowed myself to be quite distracted the last couple of years, but I still remember. I am still grateful for all You’ve done.
  • Self-Examination: Ask God to bring to light any sin that you aren’t aware of. Confess it and turn your back on it. (Make this a regular habit).

A Kind Act

  • Write a note, email, or text message to someone who has gone before you and made your life better.
    – Angie P. ❤ Dear Angie! 🙂

Seeing Your Goodness Even Now

**I reposted this because when I originally posted it for some strange reason WordPress published it as thought it was a few posts back and days earlier than it actually was.**

God, You are amazing. You have allowed me to see Your goodness in all things, including this virus and pandemic. It’s a harsh reality, but a pruning is painful, a purging, pressing under foot the grapes to get the new wine, the chiseling to create and protect the artwork, Your masterpiece. We will miss the time we had with others, and even want to linger in times we “perceived” as good, but just could no longer see the separation it was causing between You and us. Our eyes were on our false delights. Our first love was left in our own shadows. Our flawed wisdom made us right in our own eyes. Our every thought was wickedness continually. Yet we were convinced we were following You.
It is hard to follow what is not in front of you, to hear what you do not give ear to, to see what is not before you, and hard to trust someone that you do not take at His word.
Thank You, Jesus, for loving us enough to pursue us. ❤
For loving me enough to pursue me.

My Favorite New Year’s Memory

Father God, I’ll always be grateful for 1994 when You allowed me to bring in the year on my knees praying to You. I was part of a large community organization hosting a large all night party at a large local hotel. The party was in the large ballroom downstairs, and we had hospitality rooms on each floor. Stacy and I were in charge of a hospitality room. We were to provide alcohol and snacks. I was grateful it wasn’t active so Stacy went downstairs to do the countdown with the crowd. I took the opportunity to kneel and pray. I forget how I knew to get up, but I knew that I had kept You first!
The next year You rewarded me with a delightful surprise! Bringing in 1995, a friend overheard me talk about what I had done the year before. She asked me to trust her and go with her to a dinner party. It was with a Christian Singles Ministry we were attending at a local church. I was glad to see it was familiar faces, but wasn’t sure of how things would go regarding drinking. It was awesome! They had a bought out a local restaurant to prevent any alcohol concerns. My friend had me tell person after person my testimony (though I didn’t know it was one). At 2 minutes till midnight, the leader had us stand, bow our heads and pray. He finished the prayer with, “And may You be the first person to whom we say, “Happy New Year, Lord.” And it was a new year! 🙂 I LOVED it!! You allowed me 2 or 3 more years before that leader left and the ministry fell apart, but I will always remember it started with 1994! And quite frankly, I LOVED bringing it in with just You and me! ❤

Beverley’s Questions for Me

1- If you could celebrate the New Year anywhere, where would it be?
At home, but whether it at home or out with friends, I just want to bring in the coming year praying… and by God’s grace on my knees… and let Jesus be the first one I tell Happy New Year. I want Him to know He is first in every way!

2- What is your favorite snack food for New Years?
I guess chips or crackers with fruit for snacking if at a party, but when we have our traditional family dinner it would be the cranberry sauce and the banana pudding.

3- Have you ever kept a New Year’s resolution? If so, what was it?
By the grace of God yes… reading my bible through in a year. It always helps to make it something reasonable, and make room for slips. Not so to make them happen or make excuses, but because it is what most often makes people quit. The key is to keep trying at whatever pace God allows.

4- What do you want to do with your blog next year?
Whatever God wants to do with it! ❤ It’s HIS blog, not mine.

5- Do you prefer a big party or a small gathering to celebrate?
A small gathering, but again whether a big party or a small gathering I hope with others who also want to celebrate God.

Blowing Wind

gaillovesgodspoetry

A wind blows through, stirring the past.
Memories try to invade.
A love speaks up and makes it clear,
“This is the new creature I have made.”
Guilt finds opposition, shame meets its match.
God sends a smile for my spirit.
He reminds me every time I pray
That He does hear it.
I bow my head, close my eyes,
And mention the blowing wind.
He reassures He’s on the throne,
And protects me once again.
How great the grace and mercy of God,
Just to utter a prayer.
I cast my every care on Him
Because I know He cares.

I atone and seek to make amends.

God amazes and wows.
Word Game, word count, WordPress.
I stray less and less.

I learn to love my brother and sister.
Skyline, skylight, sky view.
I learn the right thing to do.
Buttermilk, butter bean, butter knife.
I have invited Christ into my life.

Rachel & Leah Bible Study: Night 4 of 6

RLLBS.2019.17Oh my loving Lord! How beautiful You are to give such sweet rest… contentment… ease… when we are truly and genuinely refreshed… in our body… in our mind… in our spirit… in You! This is what You allowed me to feel this ladies bible study night! My week would be just as much a challenging week as the others, even in being exhausted. But for this night… for this study… I was very relaxed… extremely refreshed… and absolutely 100% present. Praise Your Holy name! It was so nice! ❤

IMG_20190324_153420Truth Four (aka Week 4) was You Didn’t Do Anything Wrong.
The verse to combat feeling like we did something wrong was Proverbs 16:9
“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.”

I arrived in time to get grab my badge, a door prize ticket, and a blank card for my new prayer request. Walking toward the table, I just sat in the nearest corner. I would eventually be delighted with Ellen at my left. We enjoyed such sweet fellowship. I enjoyed sharing notes on our week. I was also so glad to see Keitha back!! 🙂 Beth had been a blessing!  But I am so thankful You brough Keitha back to us! It was nice to see her lively smile and get a Keitha hug! ❤

As we ate our snacks, Keitha told us about her convention she spoke at. There was so much good fellowship and laughter. A great deal of it being on the very subject of Comparison between the bible characters we were studying… Jacob, Leah, Rachel, Laban, Zilpah, and Bilhah. It is the most incredible thing to sit down with people who think and live just like me as we study these bible characters we have long heard of, and their horrible situations. Comments that no one else will hear us say, and familiar ways of saying the same old thing. “And he was 80! Ugh!”

IMG_20190330_134332We were given some information on different things we were considering helping out. I don’t have a Sprig can or I would share a picture, but I am checking the pantry for any of the items mentioned above on the Every Child Initiative.

Oh and the door prize tickets that we get each week, Lord?? IMG_20190330_140433

Thank You for letting me hear my number!
I was so delightfully surprised with a cup!IMG_20190330_140413

I am so BLESSED in You!IMG_20190330_140458

Now I finally see what Rae Dunn looks like close up!
IMG_20190330_140546Keitha LOVES Rae Dunn products!
I know this may sound weird, but my cup felt SO SOFT!!
I know, right?? A cup… feeling SOFT. But it did! It does!
It’s awesome! Thank You, Lord! And it’s large! 🙂

IMG_20190330_134706After we went to watch the video, I was blown away with
Truth Four: You Didn’t Do Anything Wrong.
It came with the combating verse Proverbs 16:9:
“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.”

I struggle to find the words to describe the sudden and heavy darkness that someone had suddenly shed a light on, and all I could do was freeze and go numb. Comfort wrestled with shame. Disgust wrestled gratitude. Numbness wrestled with feeling sick to my stomach. Holding my breath wrestled with strangled breath wanting a moment to finally let go and inhale a nice deep breath of fresh air of new life. I ended up having to go to the ladies room. My stomach was in such knots. And I felt so numb to life. So confused at what I was supposed to think… to feel.

IMG_20190330_135931When I got back, we were beginning discussions. Then Keitha said a prayer for us before we broke into small groups, exchanged prayer cards, and took turns praying in our small groups. My prayer cards now have me praying for jobs and employment issues, incomes, finances, health, pain, and friends with CA (Cancer). On my card this week, I asked for prayer regarding my stepdad Bobby’s breathing issues and over the tests results he would be getting back during the week.

I enjoy praying with and for others… individually, as a large group, in small groups, out loud, silently, and at home each day as I do my study. And when You lovingly lay them on my heart at random times. Bobby helps me pray to. And tells me he loves the ladies praying for him. That he loves them and is praying for them too.

I left the night with hugs from my sisters in Christ, laughs, and the most awesome conversations going on even as literally going out the door.

“He was 80! Ugh!”

“Well why did Rachel give her handmaid to Jacob for a wife?? Hello! That was just adding another wife when she was already jealous of Leah! That was another woman in his bed!”

“I was disappointed in Leah giving her handmaid! I mean she had FOUR PURE BLOODED SONS… who would ALWAYS be the oldest… having the birth right… and she knew her sister didn’t have her OWN son yet.”

“I feel sorry for the handmaids. Just given to someone they didn’t even want… to have children that wouldn’t even be theirs!”

“Who would name their children after farm animals?”

“And he was 80! Disgusting!”

Looking forward to seeing You next week, Father. I’m getting sad to know there are only 2 nights left, but I will be grateful for even those 2! I love You!

He Restoreth My Soul

Life can run so far away
with the sanity I need.
My traumatized nerves
begin to plead.
Yet one more thing rushes in
and threatens my cry.
Will my prayer be heard?
Will you pass me by?
“Of course not!”,
You lovingly chide.
“You know that I
am by your side.”
Your strong voice,
Your tender heart,
take me by the hand.
“We are never apart.”
My day washes away
and I become whole.
I am with my God.
He restoreth my soul.

Gifts 2017 #10 God Time

Christmas Countdown: God Time is a GIFT: Time in God’s word, in prayer, worshiping Him in hymns and spiritual songs are all such a gift. Oh how marvelous when just spending that quality time with Him when doing absolutely nothing but meditating upon my bed, within my heart, on Him… with Him. What a peace and joy that passes all understanding! How I wish I could help you to feel that peace and joy! Thank you, God, for wanting to spend such alone time with me. I cherish every moment! ❤

Gifts 2017 #3 Holy Spirit, Knowing Prayers Are Heard, Safe Travels

Christmas Countdown: What a gift Jesus gave us in the Holy Spirit! Because of Jesus’ death AND resurrection, I have the gift of being given peace, wisdom, guidance & faith when I need them (and feel like sometimes I don’t) from the Comforter who reassures me. I so appreciate His praying for me with moanings & groanings that cannot be uttered! I love you, Holy Spirit! Thanks for a peace that passes all understanding… inlcuding mine. ❤

Being able to Believe that God hears your prayer is a GIFT! Attempting a prayer, hoping for a prayer and… KNOWING God heard your prayer are totally different. Thank you, Jesus, for allowing me to BELIEVE… to KNOW you heard my prayer! ❤

Safe Travels are a blessed GIFT: safe and sound by the grace and protection of the Lord Jesus Christ. May safe travels be a rich part of your blessings everyone! God loves you

“Asking Myself” Lovely A’s 50 Questions

  1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
However old I really am. 😉 If I were able to be how old I feel, I would be 21! It’s the closest age to being a child without having to give up my legal rights. But I have no right to my life. It belongs to Christ. I freely gave it to Him because He gave His for me. ❤ I am the age He has given.
  2. Which is worse, failing or never trying?
Depends if God is saying “Do” or “Be still and know that I am God”
  3. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?
Paul addressed that very thing in Romans 7. It’s because we are in the flesh until the day we die, therefore evil is present despite the good.
  4. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
That depends on God’s will for my life… if God says, “Speak of these things” or “Keep Guard over the door of thy mouth”
  5. What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?
That ALL would know and love the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost!
  6. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?
God’s will… Lord willing, that would be writing.
  7. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
I am doing what I believe in… trusting God with my life.
  8. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?
There are things I would like to change, but I trust I am who I am in Christ by leading the life that God designed and allowed specifically for me.
  9. To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken?
0% God has always had control and always will!
  10. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?
They should be the same, but if I am doing God’s will, both are covered.
  11. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do?
Say a quick prayer under my breath as I calmly  but firmly point out to the three “friends” their behavior and/or comments, asking how they would feel facing such ridicule and humiliation from a friend. Offering support to the friend being unjustly attacked.
  12. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be?
God loves you! He created you. He loves you, and He always will! ❤
  13. Would you break the law to save a loved one?
If we are talking about rushing to save someone in a deadly situation, of course I would not worry about traffic laws or such; but if we are talking about doing just anything to save a loved one from something they should not be doing, and helping would be enabling or justifying a wrong behavior… then no! God is the only one who knows what’s best in each situation. Trust and Obey.
  14. Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity?
Yes. In my writing. Not by my doing, but by His.
  15. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?
I go to God about every single thing in my life, regardless of how trivial it may seem. If God says, “No” when the world says, “Are you crazy? Everyone does.” So be it! If God says, “Yes, absolutely!” when the world says, “Are you crazy? No one does.” I don’t care! If it bores, annoys, or offends that is their problem. It is not my desire to do those things, but I ought to obey God rather than man!
  16. How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy?
Well the things that make me happy are God, so anyone who does not care for God will not be happy with Him. Everyone finds happiness in different things.
  17. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back?
Fly! A passport, money, opportunity, fear, anxiety, God’s blessing.
  18. Are you holding onto something you need to let go of?
It’s always possible. I trust God to let me know, or have me just let go.
  19. If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why?
Australia! God has placed so many friends in my life that are from Australia, and He uses Lovely A  and a few others to keep that hope alive!
  20. Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?
Of course. Slightly. It doesn’t “push” the elevator but it does encourage the sensor that is waiting on a set time before the door closes to detect a need to close. I learned this from some electrical engineering buddies.
  21. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?
A joyful simpleton so that I could experience God’s abundant joy! ❤
  22. Why are you, you?
Because God made me, Me! 🙂
  23. Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend?
I wish I could say yes, but that would be dishonest to my friends… especially to my best friend Jesus!
  24. Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you?
They are equally unfortunate. They are both sad situations.
  25. What are you most grateful for?
Jesus dying for me on the cross to reconcile me to my Father ❤
  26. Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones?
This is a painful one to answer, as most days I feel like I am struggling with both. They are both cruel. They both rob you of friendship, love, family, support, and anything else. If God allows my choice, I would do neither. It would mean never remembering Him and His great love. 😦
  27. Is it possible to know the truth without challenging it first?
Yes. To know Christ is to know the way, the truth, and the life. He doesn’t mind us challenging Him or the truth. But it is not necessary.
  28. Has your greatest fear ever come true?
No. And according to God’s Holy word, He promises it never will because I gave my life… my soul… to Him.
  29. Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now?
I do remember extremely upsetting things from 5 years ago. Of course they matter now. They remind me of what Christ has brought me through.
  30. What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special?
swimming. I loved to swim! I loved the feel of the water… the feeling of being wet. I loved feeling my body float… pain free! ❤ I miss it!
  31. At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
This is another hard one because I don’t have passion for anything other than loving Christ. If it weren’t for that I would struggle to feel life. When improvements in my health gave me the hope that I could run again, swim again, live again. But that was tragically replaced with a cruel reality. Now I find what life I can in being able to walk and live. Dreaming of flying makes me smile. Walking (or flying) with Jesus makes it all worth while.
  32. If not now, then when?
I really don’t care about this kind of question. It just exhausts me to even think about. Christ… everything for me is about Christ. Including living!
  33. If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose?
Writing and flying are what comes to mind. I’m doing one, and following God for when He will allow the other.
  34. Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever?
Yes. It’s a good feeling. It happens all the time with Christ! 😉 ❤
  35. Why do religions that support love cause so many wars?
Because they have to defend against those who hate.
  36. Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil?
Yes! Absolutely! By reading God’s word, praying, and trusting God.
  37. If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job?
It would depend on if I liked the job I was doing, or if it was what God called me to do. He could either be supplying money to change jobs, or support the one I have.
  38. Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?
I would rather have what God wants to give me, where He wants to give it.
  39. Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before?
    Sometimes
  40. When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in?
When God called me to leave my church, even though I loved them so much.
  41. If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today?
As many unsaved souls that God knew I could reach for Him!
  42. Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous?
    No
  43. What is the difference between being alive and truly living?
Being alive is just physically being here, pretty much like a 100% brain dead bedridden patient. Truly living is living life abundantly… with joy… doing!
  44. When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right?
When God has made it clear it is His will.
  45. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake?
Because we have learned the cost it takes to endure a mistake… the energy.  We fear we may not survive the next one.
  46. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?
    live… sing… fly… live… abundantly!
  47. When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing?
As I was typing this. I noticed I am becoming… have been exhausted, and wonder if I will make it through this before falling asleep.
  48. What do you love? Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love?
I love Christ! Yes! Not only does my username say so, but I try to tell everyone in any way I can. If all else fails, I have at least declared my love for Him!
  49. In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that?
Lord willing. Only He knows. Only He can! Allow!
  50. Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you?
I am absolutely letting Christ make them for me! It doesn’t mean I lay down and do nothing. Quite the contrary. I am actively seeking to do what He expects of me each day! I have decided to follow Christ, and that makes me accountable! Faith without works is dead! A testimony testifies for or against the one who openly proclaims.
Lord, the way this was formatted did not allow for me to write this as a letter to You, but You understand the format of my heart. I pray these answers glorify You. They are as true as I understand them to be. I pray they do whatever You have intended for Lovely A’s “Ask Yourself“, as she asked me to answer these. I hand them over to You! In the Lovely name of Christ Jesus, Amen! ❤

It’s Snowy Around Here

Lord, I was going to call this 1st Snow 2017, but many could debate that as there has been “some” snow here and there. It is the 1st “big” snow. Everyone has been posting their pics. I am 3 days late, but it was a big enough snow to leave plenty laying around, as you can see from the neighbor’s snow man. Anthoni and Sandra (son and sister) were so excited about that snowman.

There was snow out back everywhere too. 😉

I then ventured out front… well to the porch anyway.
As you can see the steps were a bit snowy too. 🙂

I took a picture of the car, but the sun made such a glare. At first I was going to delete it, but thought, “That is exactly what it’s like trying to look at everything when not in the shade. Let them see just how blinding it is.

The same thing happened with the wishing well.
(which is leaning now) 😦

Even the bushes were still holding snow pretty good. And considering where they were near the house, that would explain why we lost satellite service. We were very blessed, Lord, to have only been without Satellite. I pray for our family and friends who were (and some still are) without power, water, or heat.

But from the looks of the tree closest to the house not having as much now, that would explain why the satellite came back on yesterday afternoon. 🙂1stsnow.10

Yep, it was pretty snowy around here, and still is. But with Your help, I will get that snow off the car, and get to my therapy tomorrow. For while I am praying to You for my therapists to get their cars, driveways, and steps cleared safely as well, I am also reminded of the stanza from Amazing Grace that sings,

“The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.”

May we be ready for that day, Lord.

Chemo is DONE. Now what?

Let’s not forget to keep praying for Crystal! She has finished her chemo and is just waiting for a PET scan (which is not even until Dec.20), and the result from that scan. God can do anything!!Don’t forget to pray for her doctors, nurses, technicians, and everyone who has been a part of her care, as well as her family! Especially her family!
God loves you, Crystal! And so do we! ❤

The days  leading up to my last chemo session were tough for me. I should’ve been thrilled that I’d be walking into my chemo room for the very last time. I should’ve been so relieved. I should’ve felt on top of the world. At least that’s what everyone kept telling me.

I actually think the last treatment was one of the hardest ones. I tried to be happy about it, but honestly who’s ever happy about going to chemo? On top of that, I know that I still have to wait for my PET scan results before I can officially say I’m done. That final scan has been on my mind a lot lately and I’ve been so nervous/stressed about it. I’ve had nightmares that the results didn’t come back clean and it’s terrifying to even think about. Today, for the very first time, I woke up with a strong feeling that…
