God’s Thoughts Toward You
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me,
and I will hearken unto you.
And ye shall seek me, and find me,
when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
– Jeremiah 29:11-13 KJV
You See Through It All
Here alone with just You and me.
That’s the way I like it to be.
You alone within my heart and soul
Can make me feel completely whole.
When peace escapes my fretting mind,
It’s You I need to seek and find.
When burdens weigh my soul to the ground,
You bid me, “Come. Lay them down.”
You place Your arms beneath to carry,
Then linger still just to tarry.
When darkness lies to my searching eyes,
You help me to see through the disguise.
You light my world and set me free.
You smile and say, “My child, it’s Me!” 🙂
Thanks for coming for me! ❤

Good Tidings
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring again Zion.
Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the Lord hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem. The Lord hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
– Isaiah 52:7-10 KJV
Lord, here You again are encouraging me to keep writing. Your children need good tidings. They need Your comfort. They need to know You reigneth. They need to know You know their hurt, and that You care about each one. They long for Your peace. I long for Your peace. Peace can only be found in You. A peace that passes all understanding, even mine. How blessed I am that I don’t have to understand.
Here You are, my Watchman, assuring me we will lift my voice together with Your children and sing! We need to break forth in joy. We want to break forth in joy. You are our joy. I love You, Lord! ❤

Yours With Affection
Alone in this quietness with You,
there’s something valuable about this peace.
I feel like I have found favor with You
from the chaos of this world to cease.
Oh it still goes on
somewhere out there.
But You have instructed me
it’s Your burden to bear.
My responsibility is to listen to You.
You have something to say.
I have prepared You an altar
here where I pray.
As the stillness allows me
to know You are God,
I see You lay aside
Your staff and rod.
You let me know You do not need
tools of correction.
When my heart is Yours,
You hold me with affection.

The Light of His Darkness
God’s perfect timing is meant to encourage us…
As much as it is to show us how lovely God is…
To seek us in our darkness…
To sit with us in our darkness…
And to shine a Light through our darkness.
How peaceful it is when that Light is the darkness…
Manifested as His glory…
And Love for us.
I am not so afraid of the dark…
Nor distressed by sudden fear…
When He is the darkness…
Because I know it is only to become…
The Light in my heart that never leaves.
May you know that Light…
And embrace His darkness.
He loves just being there with you.
Darkness could never keep Him away.

3 Day Quote Challenge 4.27.18 Day 3
Well, Dear Lord, here we are on the last day of the quote challenge… that means this is Day 3 of the 3 Day Quote Challenge that Jessy of FAB: Faith and Books nominated me for.
Bless her, Lord, for her kindness.
The rules for this challenge are:
♣ Thank the person who nominated you.
Thank you, Jessy! Its been a blessing!
♣ Post a quote for 3 days, and explain why it appeals to you.
♣ Nominate 3 bloggers each day!
Here was Day 1 (John 3:16)
Here was Day 2 (John 14:1-6)
Now here is Day 3 (John 14:27)
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.“
– John 14:27 KJV
If you read the quote from Day 2 (John 14:1-6), you can see how this verse almost seems to say the same because of the terminology “Let not your heart be troubled,” and you will better understand what I mean as I explain why Day 3 is a life verse for me.
I have been taught and/or believed so many things in my life that when Jesus offered a peace like nothing else, promised like no one else, my soul was ready for such love! ❤
Everyone always wants to use my fears, my emotions, my compassion, and anything else they can to try to get whatever they want from me, even if they have to resort to false guilt. Jesus wants to give me peace! Not as the world gives it…. with strings attached. Jesus wants to give me His peace. A peace that wants my heart to be trouble free and unafraid! No one ever cared for me like Jesus! ❤
