The Outstanding Blogger Award 7.16.2020

“Let all the earth fear the Lord:
let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.”
– Psalm 33:8 KJV

How outstanding YOU ARE, dear Lord! How continuously thoughtful You are of me! You pursue me, You encourage me, You build me up, and You love me with a never ending love. You leave me standing in awe of You, and I am enamored to be in Your presence! ❤

Thank You for pouring a little more of Your favor on YOUR blog! It has always been Yours! Thank You or sharing a little more love so that I may keep sharing it with others! Bless the one whom You used to pour out that favor! Stu of Something to Stu Over nominated me for The Outstanding Blogger Award! Bless him, his family, and his ministry, Lord! Shower him with a little more favor that glorifies the skies with Your love! Shower his family! And shower his ministry! Hug him tight, Lord! Let know You’re there with him! ❤

Thank you, Stu! May God richly bless you for your thoughtfulness. Thank you for allowing Him to pour a little reminder of His favor, and a little reminder of His great love all over this blog, and the WordPress Community! Please know I am praying for your ministry, and praise God that you are willing to keep reaching out and ministering to those who are trapped in the addictions of pornography! So many souls and families are being torn apart. Thank you for following God’s calling in your life.
Thank you again for the kind nomination! 🙂
Me and God love you, Brother! ❤

Stu’s Questions For Me:

1. What is your favorite clothing to wear that unfortunately does not look good on you? (Color wise, etc)
God, there are a lot of things that do not look good on me, but I will say jeans because they only look strange now being as big as I am, and are way too uncomfortable which defeats the purpose of jeans. 🙂

2. Why do you blog? Is it so you can minister in the lives of others, you just enjoy writing, a calling from God, or another reason?
Lord, first and foremost I write to talk to You. When I am not writing, I feel like I am suffocating. I cannot breathe! When I am writing, I am talking heart to heart with You, and sometimes through Your whispers and clear commands I write to encourage or share with others! Everyone needs to know how much You love them! ❤

3. Mask or no mask? Don’t worry about what others think or say, please give your honest opinion and why…
Lord, I wear a mask for several reasons which all fall up under obeying you by…
being a law abiding citizen, taking care of the vessel You have given me, using the wisdom YOU have given me, following the doctor’s advice (while also loving him and his family as I do myself because they are my neighbor), to be thoughtful of others as we love one another, for the accountability in my responsibility to look after my 86 yr old stepdad and the rest of my family to the best of my ability, and to do as You command in keeping a vow once it is said as we vowed to stay home and stay safe on behalf of the medical community that is sacrificing their time, lives, and families to fight for ours.

4. What is your favorite book of all time?
That one’s easy, Lord. Your Holy Bible! Preferably the King James Version. ❤

5. What childhood memory bring an immediate smile to your face?
Fighting with my little brother. Charlie was just 10 months younger than me, and we used to fight all the time. We would start off play fighting and one would hit too hard, so the other would get so mad and hit harder. The other would laugh until hit too hard. We would both laugh about it later. 🙂 Lord, I know You don’t like fighting, and praise Your name we grew out of it. 🙂  I miss him, Father. I know He is with You and has been the last 13 years, but I miss him. Hug him for me! ❤

6. Do you see God’s Handiwork everywhere? In people, nature and objects…
Absolutely! I think hymns like
This Is My Father’s World,
I Sing The Mighty Power of God,
Come Thou Fount,
How Great Thou Art
,
and so many more sing it so incredibly well! ❤

7. Which band, not singer, has influenced you the most?
Oh wow. This is a doozy, Lord. I have personally known and met so many bands… local bands, popular bands, famous bands, amateur bands… working with them, entertaining them, even dating a few. While music had too much negative influence over my life when I was younger, I actually had no one particular band influence me. The same is with bands now. I may love their music, but the bands themselves have no fluence on my  life whatsoever. Even if it someone’s music I really like, You know Yourself I just don’t do concerts or anything personal, other than the friendships I have with different people who just happen to be in bands.

Made FOR Love

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”
–  1 John 3:1 KJV

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. “
– John 3:16 KJV

“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”
– Ephesians 1:4-6 KJV

Thank You, Father, for the tender reminder of Your love for us.

In Wonder of All Your Creation

“When we are mindful, we resist the temptation to rush, to brush off. When we are mindful, we pause. We stop to admire the wonders that lie before us…. Long before this current accent of mindfulness as a cure for the stress and strain of everyday life, the psalmist issued this invitation.”
– Woman of God:Wonderfully Made

“Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. “
– Psalm 33:8-9 KJV

“O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.”
– Psalm 104:24 KJV

This was all quoted out of the small 5 week devotional book I just finished recently.
It is title Woman of God: Wonderfully Made.  (I’ll be noting it as WGWM Study Notes for the inspiration for the notes I will be sharing.) This passage alone was what God gave me to take through my day. No notes were needed. Just to sit in be awe of Him! ❤

The Wonder of You As Creator

“Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty. Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.”
– Job 37:22-23 KJV

“A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.”
– Isaiah 42:3 KJV

“But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”
Isaiah 43:1 KJV

The wonder of You, Lord. How incredibly striking You are to anyone who knows You. I am grateful to just be allowed to know You. I’m sorry I’m so tired, falling asleep. And that’s before morning meds. Give me the strength, and all I need to run the errands I need to do this morning. And help me to see the wonder of You all along the way.
In Jesus’ beautiful and wonderful name. Amen.
Hymns You bring to my mind today:

Isn’t He Wonderful Wonderful Isn’t He?
How Marvellous, How Wonderful
Wonderful The Matchless Grace of Jesus

My New Journal With You, Note 2

**Verses are inserted exactly where God had them placed in my new journal at the bottom of each page. I love how personal He is! ❤ **

Good early morning, Lord. How are you doing, Father? How sad You must be to see us fighting so much. If we just loved one another, how much easier life would be, and we would glorify Your name so much the greater… maybe even make You smile.
I pray that I make You smile sometimes. Just to hear Your name makes me smile. Just to think on You. You are THE reason to smile! Thank You for when You let Your Light shine through me. It feels so good inside, and feels good to see it ignite others. If they knew You and Your heart, they would smile. If they know how much You loved them, they would smile so deeply inside that they would have no room for anger, hatred, vengeance, and selfishness. They would want to spend day and night telling You how much they love You.

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
– Ephesians 4:32 KJV

If they knew Your love, they would want to spend every breath telling the world how much they are loved by the Greatest Love of all. They would want to see You smile, and be so glad to share Your smile with others.
Thank You for the hope in Your name, the hope in knowing You, the hope in knowing Your love, and the hope in knowing You love me! ❤ 🙂

I love You, Father God! ❤

I love You, Sweet Jesus! ❤

I love You, Holy Spirit! ❤

” For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
– Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV

The Love of God
hymn lyrics by Frederick Martin Lehman

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell.
It goes beyond the highest star
And reaches to the lowest hell.
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled
And pardoned from his sin.

Chorus
O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall;
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call;
God’s love, so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made;
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

Ideal Inspiration Blogger Award 6.4.2020

“But there is a spirit in man:
and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.”
– Job 32:8 KJV

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
– 2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV

Oh Dear Lord, what a beautiful thought! Ideal Inspiration! That is what You are, and what Your Holy Word is! The most ideal inspiration I have ever known! Your love is an ideal inspiration, and I am grateful to know it, to feel it, to share it!
Both verses of the bible that have the word inspiration bring the glory back to YOU!
YOU inspire the spirit of man to understand. YOU inspired the disciples to write Your doctrine that we call the Holy Bible! And I easily believe because YOU inspire me every day, all day, throughout the day and night! ❤
So You can imagine how delightfully surprised and deeply touched I am that You would think of me when You whispered to Rising Star of Ideal Inspiration Blog to nominate me for the Ideal Inspiration Blogger Award. A beautiful idea! A majestic picture! A thoughtful gesture from one of Your children to encourage and share with others. Thank You for Rising Star‘s heart. Bless him and his blog, Dear Lord. Let him know how much You love him. May He be ever inspired by the most Ideal love ever… found in You! In Jesus ideal and inspiring name, Amen! ❤
Thank you, Rising Star, for your thoughtfulness in the nomination for Ideal Inspiration Blogger Award. A great opportunity to love one another, to encourage one another, and to uplift one another. May the Lord bless you and your blog, and continue to inspire you every hour! He delights in you! He loves you!

Rising Star’s Questions For Me:

  1. What inspired you to start a blog?
It was a place to go talk with God one on one privately. At one point, He led me to encourage a friend by doing a challenge on her blog. At the same time, I followed His lead to trust Him in opening the settings of my FB and WP to Public. I’ve had to go back to Private on my FB, but so far so good on WP. (Praise His Holy name). So many would respond how they were encouraged or needed something I would post. It is HIM they have seen. His Love! So I make every effort to proclaim two things. (A) That Gail Loves God! (B) ❤ And to tell them God Loves You! 🙂
  2. What inspires you to write?
    The Love of God ❤
  3. Who is your ideal person?
The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit in One ❤
  4. How long do you think you will blog?

Day 40 of 47 for Lent Plan

God, I have been enjoying the bible reading plan You have been walking me through. I’m sorry to be so late getting them on, but with Your help we’ll get them on little by little.
No rush. Just convalescing with You, and following Your lead in sharing with others.
YouVersion (a bible app You have blessed me with)
is doing a plan called 40 Days of Lent.

Day 40 of 47 for Lent Plan – “Holy Week: Palm Sunday”
Reading: Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-40, John 12:12-19 KJV

Further Study

  • Why was it important that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey?
    – To full prophecy foretold in the Bible about the coming Messiah.
  • What did the crowds do with their garments?
    – laid them down on the ground in front of You, Jesus
  • What was the city like when Jesus entered? Why do you think the people were like that?
    – Excited. Worshiping You, Jesus. Praising Your name while putting branches and their clothes on the ground before You. Well their words show they knew You were the Son of God, but it is always possible the Holy Spirit led them to so prophecy could be fulfilled.

Reflect

  • Worship: Write down one attribute of God and worship Him for who He is.
    – King. What majesty and honor the Lord brought for His Son. Thank You, God, for keeping Your promise to David. I know You will do the same for me.
  • Prayer: Pray for the people you work or go to school with.
  • Remembrance: Think about what it would have been like to have seen Jesus come into Jerusalem on a donkey that day knowing He was fulfilling prophecy. Ponder this.
It must have been such a pleasing moment for You, Father God. To see Him receiving glory while displaying obedience, You knew who He was, and the significance of that day.
  • Self-Examination: Knowing how You are wired, do you think you would have believed that Jesus was the Messiah? Share your thoughts.
That’s a hard thing to answer, Lord. You taught me the first time I read the Bible through for myself, not to see the Pharisees. I read Your word wanting to know how could the religious leaders of Your time not see prophecy being fulfilled if they knew the law above everyone else. You helped me to understand that You had forewarned them about false prophets, that they were super protective of Your word. Then You also help me to understand that You intentionally blinded their eyes.
So would I have believed? Would I have needed proof? Would I know that He was the Son of God. Only You would have Know. Thank You for who You are, Jesus, and allowing me to believe. ❤

A Kind Act

  • Help someone who is struggling financially, relationally, spiritually, mentally, or emotionally.

My Consolation

Congratulations! You have lost!
Now you must pay the cost!
But here’s a consolation as you go,
to comfort your humiliation on the show.
This how the world sees consolation,
but I see mine in God’s salvation.
Jesus Christ was sent to me.
Thanks to Him, I’ve been set free.
I was lost in sin and shame.
Jesus stopped that blame game!
He gave me value and Holy worth
when He came in lowly birth.
His sacrifice on the cross
restored me from the loss.
His gift of love and sacrifice
paid my penalty and paid my price.
He sent the Comforter to guide.
He teaches me while at my side.
Soon to Jesus I will be led.
My Consolation… life after death!

You think I’m too slow
Because I don’t move at your pace,
But my persistence and determination
Often win the race.
When I swim underneath
I’m pretty clever at losing you.
I sink within the mud,
As most sea turtles do.
I am as my Creator designed,
And enjoy His thoughtful care.
He knows just how to lead me,
And goes with me everywhere.

Barnabas Award 2.27.2020

“And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.”
– Acts 4:36-37 KJV

Dear, Lord! How Encouraging You are! You are my Consolation! Every day! How blessed I am to be Yours! Thank You for thinking of me and whispering my name to Charity of Confessions and Thoughts of a Reluctant Preacher’s Daughter to nominate me for The Barnabas Award. Bless her and her blog, Lord! ❤

Thank you, Charity, for nominating for The Barnabas Award! Your name is very fitting! You are filled with love for others! I am blessed that you have shared with me! 🙂
May the Lord continue to bless you and your blog! Me and God love you! ❤BARNABAS AWARDHere are the guidelines:

– Thank the person who nominated you and share their blog.
– Think of five bloggers that encourage and inspire you and nominate them.
– List five things about yourself.
– Answer the questions you got asked.
– Lastly, ask your nominees five questions. Why five? Because it is the number that signifies grace.

“You have been chosen for this recognition because of the encouragement and inspiration you bring to your readers.”

5 Things About Me

1. I love my Abba Father! ❤
2. I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! ❤
3. I love my Holy Comforter! ❤
4. I love God’s Holy Word! ❤
5. I love God’s hymns! ❤

Charity’s Question for Me

1. What inspires the topics you write about on your blog?
The love of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! ❤

2. Who is the person that encourages you the most?
My precious Holy Spirit ❤

3. What Bible verse inspires you the most?
I have so many! I love God’s word! But the one He currently brings to mind is the one above regarding Barnabas because I have been told by so many that I am a Barnabas.

I first did not understand what that meant and was told that it meant I was an Encourager. When I later read God’s word referring to Barnabas as the son of Consolation, that touched me so because many need encouragement and consoling. If the Lord gives me even a small part in encouraging one or consoling one, praise His Holy name! ❤

4. Who was your mentor growing up?
I wasn’t really much of a “hero” kind of child. The closest anyone came to being anything like a mentor to me would have been my granddad who died when I was 8, and then my dad. In my teenage years I had a few teachers who made it a point to mentor me. I am grateful to God for each one!

5. As a blogging community, how can we encourage one another more?
Communicating our love for God!
Communicating God’s love to one another!
Patience and kindness to one another.

My Questions for My Nominees

  1. Do you know how much God loves you?
  2. What is a fond childhood memory that comes to mind?
  3. What encourages you?
  4. How do you console others?
  5. How does the love of God encourage and console you?

Nominees

Holly of Wholeness Haven
