Gifts 2017 #11 Compassion

Christmas Countdown: Compassion is such a GIFT: Sometimes forgiveness can be such a hard thing, or at least a needed repeat to achieve, especially where others have done such harm, with no remorse, and no concern. It is at times like these that compassion can be so much easier than forgiveness… in realizing how much that person is hurting themselves more than anyone, and there is nothing you can do but forgive… have compassion. Thank you, Lord, for your genuine compassion and willingness to forgive… ME! ❤

Gifts 2017 #10 God Time

Christmas Countdown: God Time is a GIFT: Time in God’s word, in prayer, worshiping Him in hymns and spiritual songs are all such a gift. Oh how marvelous when just spending that quality time with Him when doing absolutely nothing but meditating upon my bed, within my heart, on Him… with Him. What a peace and joy that passes all understanding! How I wish I could help you to feel that peace and joy! Thank you, God, for wanting to spend such alone time with me. I cherish every moment! ❤

Gifts 2017 #9 Water

Christmas Countdown: Water is a GIFT. Being able to take a nice hot shower this afternoon at lymphedema therapy was one of the sweetest gifts God gave me today. I was so grateful for the opportunity God had so lovingly given, and has made the possibility of getting a shower whenever I am at therapy! Lord willing, I will get a picture for you from next therapy to show you what I am going through right now, and will do a post. Thank you, Lord, for water… to drink as well 🙂 And thank you for being the Living Water that will one day keep us from ever thirsting again! ❤

Gifts 2017 #8 Rain

Christmas Countdown: Rain is a GIFT. Of course we do not wish for flooding or heavy storms, but God is kind enough to send what is at times a much needed blessing. I love the hymn…  There Shall Be Showers of Blessing

There Shall Be Showers of Blessing
lyrics by Daniel W. Whittle

There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.

Chorus:
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead

Chorus

There shall be showers of blessing,
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.

Chorus

There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come, and now honor Thy Word.

Chorus

There shall be showers of blessing:
Oh, that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!

Chorus

There shall be showers of blessing,
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way.

Chorus

Gifts 2017 #7 Friendship

Christmas Countdown: God gave me the gift of Seeds of friendship. So thankful for His planting them into my life. Whether they be neighbors, church friends, childhood friends, work friends, school friends, college friends, family friends, friends from being known as someone’s mom, Jaycee friends, Facebook friends, of the blessed community of WordPress friends… or even just as beautiful friends in Christ… I am blessed with each one. Even my friends in heaven… who give me reason and hope for heaven! ❤

“Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
– John 15:13 KJV

That would be our best friend Jesus! ❤

Gifts 2017 #6 Patience

Christmas Countdown: Patience is a GIFT: If anyone knows patience, it is the Lord. He is patient with me, despite repeated disappointment. If anyone can give patience, it is the Lord. By his grace, I can do all things through Christ! He doesn’t give up on me which helps me not to give up. Praise his Holy and Patient name! ❤

Gifts 2017 #5 Mercy

Christmas Countdown: Mercy is such a GIFT: Only a loving God could create such a loving gift as mercy, and only His mercy could endure forever. Through His mercy we are given a chance to be better people, to be more thoughtful, more caring, and more grateful that we have not gotten exactly what we deserve. Thank you, Jesus, for the mercy you have given me in your loving salvation. I love you.  ❤

Gifts 2017 #4 Family, Heaven, Technology

Christmas Countdown: Family is a gift. As we have lost so many, it makes each one still here a gift. I thank God for my sister Sandra, my son Anthoni, my brother Nathan Brookshire, my brother-in-law Tim, my stepdad Bobby, my uncles, my aunts, and of all my cousins, and that includes adopted, foster, and in-laws. I will be tagging you each that I can on FB. The most important thing we learn from family is we do not choose them. God does. God wants us to know it’s ALL about being His children, and trusting in God the Father, His precious Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We are ALL family in Him. THANK YOU, GOD ❤ for family!!

Heaven is a gift. Heaven is not just a place that awaits us, but it holds some of the people whom we love and miss so dearly! We have family, friends, church family, and so many more safely in the arms of the One Christmas is all about. We will meet that special Someone some day, and His Dad! And just think… all of those He used US to either lead to salvation or encourage in some way will be there too! Then one final Christmas day, WE will receive our gift of entering Heaven, and taking up residence in the home He went away to prepare for us! ❤

Technology is a GIFT: It may seem trivial to say this, but by the grace of God there is so much that can be done through technology: listening to audio-bibles, sermons, hymns, Christian radio, Christian Christmas music, encouraging others, praying for others, watching a plane fly across the country to keep up with loved ones making it safely home, using Google maps to help someone lost while on cellphone, and so much more, including this moment of being able to praise my Lord before the world! ❤ Love you, Father! ❤ Love you, Jesus! ❤ Love you, Holy Ghost! ❤

Gifts 2017 #3 Holy Spirit, Knowing Prayers Are Heard, Safe Travels

Christmas Countdown: What a gift Jesus gave us in the Holy Spirit! Because of Jesus’ death AND resurrection, I have the gift of being given peace, wisdom, guidance & faith when I need them (and feel like sometimes I don’t) from the Comforter who reassures me. I so appreciate His praying for me with moanings & groanings that cannot be uttered! I love you, Holy Spirit! Thanks for a peace that passes all understanding… inlcuding mine. ❤

Being able to Believe that God hears your prayer is a GIFT! Attempting a prayer, hoping for a prayer and… KNOWING God heard your prayer are totally different. Thank you, Jesus, for allowing me to BELIEVE… to KNOW you heard my prayer! ❤

Safe Travels are a blessed GIFT: safe and sound by the grace and protection of the Lord Jesus Christ. May safe travels be a rich part of your blessings everyone! God loves you

Gifts 2017 #2 My Son Anthoni, Church, Rest

Christmas Countdown: Anthoni has been my gift from the Lord from the moment God answered my prayers with his arrival. Those little arms, precious hugs, & loving smiles grew into a caring young man, who has had a special thing with the Lord all on his own from the womb. I can’t explain everything, but I sure can appreciate & praise the Lord for allowing me to be a part of it! Thank you, God, for entrusting me with your gift. ❤ Love u both ❤ God 1st… & praise you that Anthoni completely understands THAT truthful statement & LOVES it like that! ❤

The house of the Lord (aka church) is a gift! If we would put as much focus on making God welcome in His house as we do for us in our own, how amazing would the house of the Lord be glorified.

Rest is a GIFT: Praise the Lord for a day of rest, and for a God who promises rest unto his people. A season of rest is such a beautiful gift from God, ESPECIALLY when one is so run down. Revive us again, O Lord, in your perfect rest. Even you rested after creating the world 🙂 We love you! ❤

Gifts 2017 #1 God, Time, Life

Christmas Countdown: GOD has given me the gift of HIM!! Whenever I am sad… burdened… overrun by enemies… exhausted… worn down… or even not my best 4 HIM… HE’S still there… with me… 4 me… inside me! He is an ever-caring, omniscient, omnipresent, GOD who loves walking with me… sitting with me… carrying me. HE is definitely a gift! I don’t deserve HIM. Praise HIS glorious name it is not about what I deserve! ♥ Love you, LORD

Time is a GIFT. Whether it be a lifetime with loved ones, or a brief visit with a loved ones, time is such a beautiful thing. Yet God tells us when we get to heaven, there will be no more time…. cause we will be with our loved ones (which includes him) FOREVER ❤ Praise you, Lord my Manger King! ❤

Life is such a GIFT, and the Lord allowed today’s gift to be a very blessed one! Thank you, My King, for your gift of love in each day. ❤
