Blogger Recognition Award 10.28.18

God, how wonderfully You work! How awe-inspiring You are! How powerfully You minister through the brethren (and the sisters 😉 ). Just days ago You allowed me to share nominations. One of those nominations was Sue of Run With It. She surprised me by placing my name at the top of her nominees list, which is where this Blogger Recognition Award comes from. Praise Your Holy name! By Your leading, I gladly accept for You for

3 very special reasons!blogger recognition award

  1. Your love story in Sue’s life, in how You led her to start Run With It, and the beautiful testimony You gave her grandmother. This award allows to me let others read of this love story that You gave Sue in her own Lois (2 Timothy 1:5).
So many will be blessed from reading.
Thank you, Sue, for the nomination! God loves you!
  2. You allowed more than one of the nominees I had shared with to be either having a a birthday or a celebration of a moment in their life (or blog). So of course I will keep doing as You have always led me to do in keeping the nominations (blessings) flowing. They need to know You love them!
  3. You allow this award to come at the same time one of my dearest friends is celebrating her birthday, so she will go right at the top of this list!

Happy Birthday, Lovely A of Discovering Your Happiness!

Praise the Lord for 500 Followers on gaillovesgod

To God be the glory... for He surely deserves all of His praise and honor! It has been hard for me to care about any stats for quite awhile because of being overwhelmed by hundreds of spam comments, along with so many fake followers. The ones who want to follow just to boost their businesses I don’t really mind. God can allow fellowship in many ways. And they are the ones that have to sell their product. But those who try to harm me or my friends are just simply cruel. Why do people waste such time that they could put towards work or fellowship the way the rest of us do?
WordPress is a great community! God has truly blessed us!

So I will praise Him for the 500 Follows
He has allowed for this blog… gaillovesgod… His blog!

500 Follows!
Congratulations on getting 500 total follows on
Your current tally is 501.

And a special thank you to Susan Ream of Nana’s Love Notes
for being the one to make it 500 Follows!
I love reading your notes you write your granddaughters! 🙂

Susan Ream and 500 others
followed your blog gaillovesgod

As you also know, I’m so grateful for the love and support so many of you give in your comments. I still love that feature on the Stats page that shows the top 6 folks to comment. Right now they are

  1. simplywendi
  2. Alethea’s Mind
  3. Discovering Your Happiness
  4. Stuart L. Tutt
  5. Invisibly Me
  6. Margaretfromsoulfood

(Those are noted as they’re seen on the Stats page under Comments by Authors)

It has taken countless hours of deletion and blocking of spammers, but it is well worth it so that God can allow me to know who is commenting, so that I can encourage them in return. Sometimes I have had to rescue genuine comments from the Spam and Trash section… so please… if you are still waiting for a response to a comment make sure that I even know. Forgive me for anyone I have missed and do not know it. With the Lord’s help I am try to make sure to keep up with them, and to let you all know God loves you!

On that same page, and same section, if you click on the down arrow beside Comments by Authors, it changes to Comments by Posts & Pages. This allows you to see your top 11 blog posts that are most commented on. My blogs posts most commented on are:

  1. 2 Liebster Awards for My Birthday 6.13.18
  2. Happy Birthday to My Son Anthoni
  3. Liebster Award 1.6.18
  4. Happy 26th Smoke Free Anniversary
  5. Sunshine Blogger Award 1.31.18
  6. Liebster Award 2.16.18
  7. Bloggers Support Bloggers Award 5.26.18
  8. Praising God for 400 Followers and Over 10,000 Views
  9. Losing… It!
  10. Versatile Blogger Award 5.26.18
  11. Mystery Blogger Award 5.18.18

(Notice a trend?? I do too. As loving and encouraging so many of you have been with me pouring out my heart and love to God, those Awards are certainly one of the ways God uses us to encourage one another! 🙂 However He chooses! Praise His Holy name!)

And lest you think it’s ALL about awards, as though they are trivial, and therefore the blog must be too… notice #9 Losing… It? That was a very long note on how much I am losing so much… including my skill… my love… for communicating with others… sharing… encouraging. Even though I discussed something so personal, so many of you gave me love that just touched my heart in ways that I find hard to put into words. God used so many of you to strengthen me when I am often tempted to just give up and dream of flying home!
Every single comment means a great deal to me! And it is far more important that I have made known to as many of you as possible how much God loves you!!! So much!!

Thank you to each one who has made the 500 Follows possible!
You give glory to the One who surely deserves it!
And any glory He allows me to be a part of bringing Him…

HALLELUJAH!

“For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name,
because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.”

which hath great recompence of reward.”

for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,
and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
– Hebrews 11:6 KJV

Dear Lord, You have sent my dear friend and sister in Christ… Jessy…  to bring me a cup of water in the midst of a dry land… a weary land… of a journey that is You and me. It may be personal, but You still use Your people to encourage me along the way…. to refresh my weary soul. Jessy (aka txjessy) of F.A.B. Faith and Books has nominated me for the Blogger Recognition Award.  You have used her to help me not cast away my confidence, which has a great reward that You tell me I need. I trust Your word in Mark 9:41 that she will not lose her reward for bringing that cup of water even in this award. I fully believe in Your promises of Hebrews 11:6 because You are a rewarder in just being who You are! ❤blogger recognition award

My Brief Story on How This Blog Began:
Lord, You gave me this blog originally as a private place to come talk to You… one on one… just between You and me. Then You led me to encourage a family friend who was going through a hard time by doing her challenge on WordPress, and You encouraged me to trust You by opening my settings to public. You have since then amazed me in what You choose to do with this blog (which is Yours), and the blog for the poetry You have allowed me to write through the years. Not all of the poetry is pleasant, but You assure me it is a part of YOUR testimony in my life. And so I leave it to You to do Your will with.

Two Pieces of Advice for New Bloggers:
1. Write what you want, when you want (or not), in your time. It’s your blog!
2. God loves you!

Random Acts of Kindness Award 8.15.18

For his merciful kindness is great toward us:
and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever.
Praise ye the Lord.
– Psalm 117:2 KJV

Random Acts of Kindness… This describes Your love towards us all day long, Father. And here You share another one with me through Stu of Something to Stu Over as he has nominated me for the Random Acts of Kindness Award.random_acts_logo-296x300This is a completely new award for me, and it seems like a very nice gesture among a community that is one huge random act of kindness… and many times very intentional kindness. Stu is a brother in Christ who not only displays the kindness of Romans 12:10...

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love;
in honour preferring one another”
– Romans 12:10 KJV

but shares the kindness of Colossians 3:12 with those who struggle with addictions.

Put on therefore, as the elect of God,
holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness,
humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering”
– Colossians 3:12 KJV

Thank you, Stu, for your thoughtful random act of kindness in the nomination. May the Lord continue to bless you and your ministries. God loves you!

The award was created by Mws R Writings
Random Acts of Kindness Award/KA

Random Acts Of Kindness Award, RAKA

This award is given to anyone you think shows kindness to another blogger or writer or to the community here on WordPress.
If you know someone who has shown you or anyone else an act of kindness please nominate them for this award.
I believe that any act of kindness no matter how small can significantly impact another’s life. So I feel it is great to acknowledge those who practice kindness.

The rules are simple.

1- Tell who you nominate and why.

2- Copy and share the picture that shows the award, posted above.

3- Share a paragraph of something that impacted your own life in the way of receiving kindness or how you extended kindness to someone else.

For instance, ” I once was waiting in a drive thru line for 20 minutes. I was in a hurry but the line did not move much, it felt like. My day was getting worse by the moment. When I got up to the drive thru window, the cashier said someone had paid for my meal already. That really made my day a lot better.”

4- Nominate anyone or share to your own page. If you so choose to Participate. Tag or pingback to the original person who nominated you, or the original post. https://mwsrwritings.com/2018/07/30/random-acts-of-kindness-award-ka/

Don’t forget to COPY THE RULES ON YOUR POST!

An act of kindness that was shown to me that comes to mind was when I was 13 years old. I was attending a school for troubled kids and one of my teachers took interest in me, asking me to clean her house each week. While she taught me a strong work ethic, doing a job right the first time, and paid me for my work… she would have me take several breaks just to talk with me. She would ask me questions and become so broken for me, literally crying. I would have no idea why she was crying. She would try to explain to me why, and then cry even more because of inability to see why she was crying… because I saw things she was broken for as normal. She would either fix me something for lunch or take us out, but refused to let me use my money.
Her compassion was what would cause me to pause and think about what she was saying because it felt odd for someone to cry for me. It was her many acts of kindnesses in that one act of kindness that would help me to open my eyes a little at a time to life… even if it took awhile. To this day, when I’m having a hard day or wish I had someone in my corner the Lord allows me to think on Mrs. C. She constantly included me in her life and her family until her dying day, and had set me and her daughter to continue to be good friends. And we were good friends until the day she died as well.

My Nominees:

Lovely A of Discovering Your Happiness
Lovely A was the first person You had me speaking with in the Word Press Community. You used her 21 Day Self Care Challenge to help me while I was tying to help/work with my doctors and specialists. She was so encouraging, motivating, kind… definitely kind! She became my Croatian-Australian Sister in Christ! She helps so many others in the same way. It’s just who You have made her to be! 🙂 Thank You, Lord. Bless her!

Fatima of Splendor in Embers
My dearest Fatima was how You led me to open my settings to Public, as You had me already doing her 30 Truth Aspects Challenge to encourage her. I have known that dear heart since she was in preschool with my little dear heart. She has always been random acts of kindness… the sweetest heart. Here You had led me to encourage her, but she was encouraging me every step of the way. That’s so You God! Bless her, Lord!

Hayley of Red Letters
Along came my Brummie Sister, and You made my day with her friendship! I love her singing voice… not only is it tender and beautiful, but she has such a heart for Your! You use her music to draw me into close fellowship with You! My favorite one of hers is still Know You. ❤ Thank You for blessing me with my Brummie family in Christ!

Lene of Song of Virgnity
For years I struggled to get down my testimony as You have been urging me to do. I had been told my testimony was “too inappropriate.” Lene invited me to write my testimony Love of My Life – I Am His Song on her blog. I prayed about it hard, especially because her blog celebrates and encourages choosing Christ first through abstinence, and she does it with a loving and nonjudgmental heart.

There are soooo many more, but I went with the first few You gave me on Word Press when You had me go from private to public settings. I pray that You would encourage anyone else who wants to do this challenge, to considered themselves tagged. They’re it!

Thank you to everyone of you have ever blessed me through random acts of kindness, and continue to do so time and time again! Thank you for letting God shine through you!

God loves you!

One of the guys in the class was so convinced the professor was flirting with him that we could not convince him that the professor was married with kids and very straight.. He kept saying, “I knew you girls would think because he has kids he can’t be gay, but if you could have seen the way he was flirting with me… the things he was doing…  he had no shame in making it clear right there in class how much he wanted me.” LOL! Me and the girls who later knew laughed so hard.
  5. What is your favourite quote from a film?
Ernest Borgnine as the Centurion in Jesus of Nazareth, “No! I am unworthy that you should enter under my roof. I know that if you say the word, my servant will be healed. And if I say to another, ‘Go there.’ I know that he will go. I need not see. I know. So it is enough that you give the word, and it will be done.”
