Creep by creep, crawl by crawl.
The earth is such a trek.
Craggy rocks and thorny bushes
Threaten to make me wreck.
Danger appears, sounds terrify.
I hide within my shell.
I’m just a sluggish sea turtle.
I do not fight too well.
Alas the water, my safety net.
I swim within the depth.
A whole other world to battle
With every creature met.
Yet there is a blessed gift
I still have on my side.
God has made my form.
In His hand I do abide.
