How Deep the Father’s Love For Us

How deep the Father’s love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure

How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory

Behold the man upon a cross
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers

It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection

Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

How Deep the Father’s Love For Us
sung by Selah, lyrics written by Stuart Townend

Father. How deep Your love is for me. The words are so hard to find. I am so unworthy of You. I am blessed to be Your daughter. I am doubly blessed to call You Abba Father. Thank You for who You are, and for what You did through Your Son for me. Because You gave, I have received! I know what it’s like to long to have Your child home. I am so glad that Jesus is at Home with You now! And that I will be too! Soon and very soon! ❤

    1. I thank you for your loving support, Carol Anne, but this too is a hymn. The Father blessed someone with thinking on His love for us and His only begotten Son Jesus.
Me and God love you! ❤

    1. PTL! It is powerful! Just as He and His love is!
The “Soon and very soon” comes from a hymn song we teach the kids, but I remember it every day because the bible says a day with the Lord is as a thousand days here. Since I highly doubt I will live even 100 of them here, I know that I will be with Him soon, 😉
Thank you for such a loving and touching comment. You made my heart smile! 🙂 Hope you are doing well. Me and God love you, Caz! ❤
