    1. PTL! I love that song too. What blessings we receive from it, though it cost the author such heartache to live it. God has such mysterious ways to teach us even now that our heartache DOES have purpose. Our faith among pain helps other who are going through their own pain.
      I pray you are having no pain or heartache, yet because life pretty much requires it I pray that your faith allows you that peace like a river! Me and God love you, Wendi! ❤

    Both song and scripture always brings me to tears. Knowing how God and full of mercy our God is. I just want to be more like Him truly and trust Him more as well.

  2. Gail, that is one of my favorite hymns. Thank you so much for sharing it. Yes, sometimes we do have to go through troubled times for us to truly get this message. It is one of those hymns that I have to really ask myself when I sing it if I truly mean it. Is it truly well with my soul, or am I troubled in spirit over things going on in my life? It is a wonderful reminder to me to lay it all down at the Lord’s feet and to let his peace rule in my heart, even if the storms are howling all around me. Thanks so much!

    1. PTL! I can’t remember the exact time frame when I started to sing it without even thinking during hard times (sometimes determined to show God my faith, sometimes unable to do anything but cry out to Him in song), but it has become such a go to song for my soul that even when I am singing it absolute faith my son always checks to make sure everything is ok. God is so kind to allow such comfort! I pray for Horatio’s family.
      I pray for those things that you lay at His feet, and trust to His care. He loves you, Sue! He truly loves you! ❤
