Corrective Concern

Such a small hand
to have to place correction,
but when he is lost
I am his direction.
Such beautiful eyes
to ever shed a tear,
but when he’s in danger
I must say, “No, Dear.”
What a beautiful smile
to ever see turn down,
but when he’s being hateful
he’ll end up with a frown.
What a shame to hear a laughter
scream into a cry,
but when he’s endangering others,
I can’t stand by.
I love my child so much.
I just want to keep him safe,
but it’s so hard to be authoritative
when you hear them cry and play.

    1. God taught me so much through the little arms He gave me that had such an unconditional love for in his little heart! ❤ Then added a special touch by allowing me to be a single mom of my only child… a son… just like He was a single dad of His only Son! ❤
